The story
In Hebrew ‘lev’ means heart. The Dutch word ‘lef’ derives from it, meaning courage, or having guts. In the ancient texts, lev refers to our emotional life, our consciousness and our conscience. It represents the heart as being the helm of your ship, giving you purpose and direction.
